Electronic Radon Testing
You need a test that you can be sure is correct. Our advanced electronic machine uses 6 different testers and takes a reading every hour for 48 hours. Not only will it collect data on the amount of Radon entering the home, it also will show temperature, humidity and if there is any movement with the tester (to verify an accurate test) You will receive a report with a graph that is easy to understand as well as a detailed record of the data collected. If you have a mitigation system, we can check to see that it is working properly and properly under all weather conditions.
Thermal Imaging
Thermal Imaging is very important in today's home inspections. The thermal imager can see many things the naked eye can not see. It can detect water intrusion into the home, or a leaking pipe in a wall or ceiling that otherwise would be missed by an inspector without the camera. It can also detect gaps or missing insulation, and pinpoint areas of energy loss. It can also see hidden systems like ducts in walls and heat coils for heated floors. A home inspection is not a complete inspection without it. That's why we include Thermal Imaging with EVERY inspection.
Drone Photography
We can take high quality photos or videos with our drone for any occasion. We are certified by the FAA to operate a drone legally. Whether you are a Realtor looking for that perfect picture for a listing or you just want some cool video of that new house you purchased to show your friends, T & R will do it at a very economical price! The drone is a very important tool if the roof or parts of the property cannot be traversed. If that is the case, we will inspect the roof or property with the Drone at NO additional cost!
Mold Sampling
We offer two different kinds of mold testing, complete and limited. With a complete inspection, the house is looked over top to bottom for any visible microbial growth and the air is tested in areas of concern. If needed, other samples can be taken and sent to the lab. A limited test is when there is an area of concern and we test that single area. You do not need a home inspection to have a complete mold inspection or you can make it part of your home inspection for a large discount. During EVERY home inspection, if any visible microbial growth is detected, we will take a sample and let you decide if you want the sample to be lab analyzed (client must be present or give pre-authorization to take any sample).
Certified Water Testing
Weather purchasing a home, or for checking the water quality of your existing home, water testing is very important, especially here in Michigan. Some counties require a test when purchasing a new home. Also, the EPA recommends having a water test annually if you are on a well. We collect samples on site and personally deliver them to a certified lab, and then provide you with a report on the results.
